Jane Roscoe is the SBS Network Programmer, and has been with the network for three years. Working with acquisitions and commissioning her objective is to bring the best content to screen for all Australians to engage with and enjoy. SBS has more documentary slots in prime-time than any other Australian Network; including a feature length slot (Hot Docs), as well as slots for Science, politics and History. SBS is committed to working with the Independent sector to develop a diverse range of Australian stories for delivery across all platforms. She was previously the Head of the Centre for Screen Studies and Research at AFTRS. She has written extensively on documentary, audiences and television generally and her last book was Faking It: Mock-Documentary and the Subversion of Factuality. |
